This policy explains what we collect when you shop at Rock Rat, why, and who we share it with. We keep it short because we keep the data minimal.
What we collect
- Order details — your email, shipping address, and what you bought. You give these at checkout.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Marketing email — only if you opt in at checkout or through our email signup.
- Basic site analytics — standard, aggregated usage data to keep the site fast and working.
How we use it
- To process your order, ship it, and email you confirmation and tracking.
- To handle returns, exchanges, and support.
- To calculate sales tax where required (we have tax nexus in Georgia and Utah).
- To send marketing email — only if you opted in, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the store, and share only what each needs to do its job:
- Stripe — payment processing and tax.
- Resend — sending order and shipping email.
- Convex — our order and inventory database.
- Cloudflare — hosting and bot protection (Turnstile) at checkout.
We don't sell your personal information.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email hello@rock-rat.com.
